CETIA is contributing to a European mapping of textile recycling stakeholders
CETIA contributed to the development of a reference document published by the BALI Chair, which maps the key players in the European textile recycling sector. This work is part of an effort to share knowledge and structure the sector, against the backdrop of growing challenges related to the circularity of textiles.
A reference document to help better understand the European ecosystem
The purpose of this report is to provide a non-exhaustive overview of the major players in the textile recycling sector in Europe, with the aim of offering a clearer picture of existing industrial capacity, the technologies in use, and current trends within the sector.

The study focuses specifically on fiber recyclers, with a clearly defined scope:
- cotton, cotton-polyester, and polyester fibers,
- data from the latest research, updated in March and June 2025,
- inclusion, for pre-treatment operators, of only facilities with a minimum annual capacity of 4,000 tons.
These criteria provide a coherent and representative overview of the industrial players capable of operating on a significant scale.
