CETIA is participating in the CircularTexEFA project, which aims to establish a cross-border circular textile supply chain focused on collection, reuse, and recycling. This project, led by 11 partners and 65% co-financed by the European Union through POCTEFA 2021–2027, also includes awareness-raising and training initiatives in the region.

CETIA is contributing to a European mapping of textile recycling stakeholders

CETIA contributed to the development of a reference document published by the BALI Chair, which maps the key players in the European textile recycling sector. This work is part of an effort to share knowledge and structure the sector, against the backdrop of growing challenges related to the circularity of textiles.

Textile recycling: CETIA introduces SensorHUB, a smart, automated sorting system for end-of-life fashion items, developed with support from Refashion.

CETIA—a European platform dedicated to the automated sorting and disassembly of textiles, footwear, and accessories—has unveiled SensorHUB, a smart sorting cell designed to automate the identification of end-of-life clothing and footwear. The goal is to improve sorting accuracy in order to optimize the routing of items to the appropriate recycling processes.

Textiles Recycling Expo: Catalyzing Innovation for a Circular Textile Industry

CETIA participated in the Textiles Recycling Expo—the first European trade show entirely dedicated to textile recycling—held in Brussels on June 4 and 5, 2025. This international event, which brought together more than 3,300 professionals from the textile value chain across 67 countries, has established itself as a key venue for networking, technology demonstrations, and discussions on the sector’s transition to a circular economy.
